Property for Sale in Mersin: Flat with Pool, Villa by the Sea
Mersin is the big port city on the eastern Mediterranean: university, trade, a long promenade, and to the west a coast with Erdemli, Kızkalesi and Silifke, where Turkish families have summer flats. Property for sale in Mersin means a new-build flat in the city or a villa by the sea outside it, usually cheaper than in Antalya.
February in Mersin: you sit on the balcony in Mezitli, 18 degrees, coffee, a view of the sea, while at home there is slush on the ground. On Saturdays to the market, citrus fruit from the surrounding area, tantuni for lunch. On Sunday to Kızkalesi, the castle in the water, the beach, and in October you can still swim.
Location, lifestyle, access: Mersin
Mersin lies east of Antalya on the Mediterranean, and the coast runs west as far as Silifke. Adana airport (ADA) is about an hour away, and Gazipaşa (GZP) lies to the west.
Mersin is a city, not a backdrop. Port, industry, residential districts such as Yenişehir and Mezitli with new-build complexes, a promenade with tea gardens. There are few tourists, but there are buyers from Europe, Turks living in Europe and buyers from the Middle East, who live here all year round.

Buying a house or villa
Villas stand in the coastal towns west of the city, towards Erdemli, Kızkalesi and Silifke.
Buying a plot
Plots in the surrounding area. We check their status and whether you can build on them beforehand.
By the sea, with sea views or an affordable start
Living by the sea is affordable in Mersin. New-build complexes with a pool and sea views in Mezitli and Erdemli, villas with a pool in the coastal towns towards Silifke, summer flats in Kızkalesi right on the beach. After the handover our number stays. Advice costs nothing.

What people ask us about Mersin
Is Mersin a holiday resort?
The city itself is not, it is a port and university city. You will find beach and summer to the west of it in Erdemli, Kızkalesi and Silifke, half an hour to an hour away.
Why Mersin instead of Antalya?
Because here you get more flat for your money and have neighbours all year round instead of tourists. Antalya has more flights and more infrastructure for foreigners, while Mersin is everyday life on the Mediterranean.
How hot does it get in summer?
Hot and humid, over 30 degrees in July and August with high humidity. In return the winter is mild, and in February you sit outside.
How high are the additional costs?
Roughly 4 to 5 per cent: Tapu fee 4 per cent, valuation report from about 5,000 TL, DASK insurance. On a new build, VAT of between 1 and 20 per cent is added, depending on size. We work it out for your property.
