Side lies about 70 kilometres east of Antalya on the Mediterranean and belongs to the Manavgat district. From Antalya airport you are there in about an hour. Çolaklı and Evrenseki lie to the west, Kumköy to the east, and behind it the town of Manavgat with its river.

The old town on the small peninsula with the Temple of Apollo, theatre and harbour draws many visitors in summer. Sandy beaches and hotel complexes run all around, and behind them lie the residential areas of Çolaklı, Evrenseki and Kumköy, where buyers from Europe have their holiday flats. In winter it gets quiet, and some restaurants are closed. If you want everyday life all year, also look at Manavgat.
